LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY PROGRAM


2024-25 Fall-Winter Season In-House Hockey Program for Boys & Girls

For ages 4-11 from Medford and Surrounding Communities !!

Back in 1975, all (3) of Medford Youth Hockey programs (Medford Youth Hockey, West Medford Hillside Youth Hockey and North Medford Youth Hockey) combined to become Medford Recreational Hockey Association.

Our youth hockey organization for boys and girls teaches sportsmanship, respect for authority, so they will be good, decent and trustworthy adults.

This season will mark the 49th season (1975 to 2024) of the Medford Recreational Hockey Association.

Our In-House Hockey Program offers children the opportunity to learn to ice skate then transition to learning the skills of playing the sport of youth hockey.

North Medford Youth Hockey) combined to become Medford Recreational Hockey Association. Our youth hockey organization for boys and girls teach sportsmanship, respect for authority, so they will be good, decent and trustworthy adults.

Our program is broken down into 3 ON ICE Groups:

(Evaluations will be held in order to ensure proper placement)

TUITION IS $300 FOR OUR LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAMS, 1 AND 2


1. LEARN TO SKATE/PLAY HOCKEY PROGRAM: FOR BEGINNERS

All players are taught ice skating by our team of instructors within several ability groups. As players skating improves, our instructors will advance these players to higher groups

2.DEVELOPMENT CLINIC PROGRAM: MUST BE ABLE TO SKATE

Players are evaluated at Development Clinic. Players who can ice skate BUT need to improve their skating, turning and stopping skills. In addition, these players skate with hockey a stick and learn basic hockey and puck drills.

3. LEARN TO PLAY TEAM PROGRAM – EXPERIENCED SKATERS

Experienced new and returning Players who can ice skate, turn and stop on skates will be placed on teams with equal ability, practice as teams and play half ice mini games once a week. (Tuition is $500)

(Players evaluated and placed into the Learn to Play Teams Program will be required to pay an addition $200 tuition to cover the additional 3rd skills ice session bringing their tuition to $500 per player)

STEP #1: Go to: www.usahockey.com and register your player.

The player will receive a registration number, which is needed to register with Medford Recreational Hockey

STEP #2: Go to: www.medfordrechockey.com, create an account and register your player

All player tuitions are to be paid at time of registration, by credit card or ACH payment.

Each and every week, your player’s skating and skill level will improve !


LTP 2024-2025

In-House Hockey Program Registrations for Boys & Girls Ages 4-11 Will Begin in July 2024.

Season runs October thru mid-March March  2025.
