LEARN TO SKATE/FIGURE SKATING

US FIGURE SKATING LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM

Our program is open to adults and children, whether you're interested in recreational skating or figure skating we are happy to work with you!

We offer two, ten-week sessions, held on Saturdays at LoConte Rink.

Cost is $200 per session.

SESSION 1: October 11-December 13

(10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 11/29, 12/6 and 12/13)

SESSION 2: January 3-March 7

(1/3, 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7)

****Show will be Sunday 3/15 with rehearsal on 3/14*****

You will need a helmet, ice skates, warm clothing, and gloves.

• Advanced Skaters, basic level 5 and up to free skate levels and older beginners 9 and up: 10am-10:50am
• Beginners, all snow plow levels up to basic 4 and Adults: 11am-11:50am

This is a great opportunity for children taking group lessons with our program to display some of their skating abilities in our spring ice show.

Session 2 usually ends with a Skating show. The Medford Figure Skating Show is a great opportunity for children taking group lessons with our program to display some of their skating abilities in our spring ice show. (There is an additional cost to participate in the show). During the last several years show interest has been extremely low making it very difficult to put together the show. Last year we had to go outside our program to bring skaters in to put the show on. With this said, if we don't have sufficient number of participants that sign up for the show, we will not be able to put a show on this season. Just an early heads up! If we are not able to get the necessary numbers needed, we will continue our Learn to Skate/Figure Skating program thru mid-March as planned. Thank you.
