Joe "Jo Jo" Sacco joins the New York Rangers organization after spending 11 seasons with the Boston Bruins before being elevated to associate coach before being named interim head coach for last season's final 62 games.
Sacco played in 738 NHL games where he finished his playing career with 213 points over his 13 NHL seasons.
Sacco's NHL coaching career started in 2009 being named head coach of the Colorado Avalanche for 3 seasons and 1-season as an assistant for the Buffalo Sabres before joining the Boston Bruins as an assistant coach.
Sacco is a former Medford Youth Hockey player, Medford High School player, Boston University player and 1992 Team USA Olympic Player.
