In order to secure your child's roster spot, you must complete "ALL 3-STEPS" listed below on or before commitment day:

1. Register for a 2023-2024 Player USA Hockey Registration Number by going to https://www.usahockeyregistration.com

(You must register for a new number each season - if you enter last year's number, your registration will not be accepted and your spot on the roster could be in jeopardy).

https://membership.usahockey.com/

2. Register your player on our home page. You will need their updated USA Hockey Number to register.

(You must register each season for the program your child is participating in).

3. Pay the deposit and select a payment plan - all players must register using a credit card with automatic payments per the payment plan. IMPORTANT: Medford is a no-pay/no-play program so any late payment will result in a $25 fee and could result in removal of your player from the team/program. If you need financial assistance to register, please complete the financial assistance form and send it to our Board President at president@medfordyouthhockey.com. If you experience a financial hardship during the season, please email our Board President at president@medfordyouthhockey.com.

C. Deposit Refund Policy: No Refunds for deposits will be given after June 30, 2023.

D. Roster and Player Eligibility Policies:

NOTE: By registering or participating in MRHA for the 2022-23 season, you hereby acknowledge and agree to the following polices for your child.

1. ROSTER ELIGIBILITY: Roster spots will not be given to any player who has not made the full deposit by May 15, 2022. If you fail to make your deposit, your child's team selection will be forfeited and allocated to another player. Once your deposit is paid, you may petition the Board of Directors to reinstate your child. It will be at the Board's sole discretion as to whether to reinstate your child onto their original team or onto a lower team based on roster availability.

2. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: If at any point prior to the start of the season, a player misses or fails to pay in full 2-consecutive payments by the payment deadline date, their team selection will be forfeited and allocated to another player. Once BOTH past due payments are paid in full, you may petition the Board of Directors to reinstate your child. It will be at the Board's sole discretion as to whether to reinstate your child onto their original team or onto a lower team based on roster availability.

3. NO PAY, NO PLAY POLICY: If at any point during the season, a player misses or fails to pay in full 2-consecutive payments by the payment deadline date, their will be prohibited from participating in all MRHA activities (practices, skills and games) until such time a BOTH past due payments are paid in full. If a player is at their final payment of the season and misses that payment deadline, the same policy will be enforced.

4. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: For any division/team whereby payment in full is due prior to the start of the season, any player who is not paid in full by the payment deadline will forfeit their team selection and it will be allocated to another player. Once the account is paid in full you may petition the Board of Directors to reinstate your child. It will be at the Board's sole discretion as to whether to reinstate your child onto their original team or onto a lower team based on roster availability.

5. FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS: By registering for MRHA, parents, caregivers, guardians and players agree to adhere the the bylaws, policies and procedures of Medford Recreational Hockey Association, Massachusetts Hockey and USA Hockey.

Our hope is to never have to remove a player from a team or to keep them off the ice. MRHA has to commit over the summer to all of the game and practice ice, purchase jerseys and socks, pay insurance, and sign contracts with our vendors. The tuition and payment schedule we set is to ensure we are able to pay our financial commitments on time and in full.

To request financial assistance, please email the completed financial hardship form found here to the President of the Board of Directors at president@medfordyouthhockey.com.
